HLM complete set

A complete set is created by combining individual sets in one package. For example, a complete cardiac surgery set can consist of an instrument set and a table set, either with or without additional components. Such set is assembled on the basis of the requirements and wishes concerning the operation of the equipment submitted by the user. Also cardioplegia, hemofiltration and blood transfusion sets or an oxygenator can be added to a complete set. The package of a complete set can be selected according to various criteria.

Cardioplegia set

A cardioplegia set is used generally for preserving organs and, especially in cardiac surgery, for reversible cardiac arrest and protection of the pericardium. The choice and application of cardioplegia – crystalloid or / cold or warm / blood pumped or by gravity – depend on the type of the intervention and preferences of the operator. The choice of components for sampling (tip, needle, luer lock or connector) is dependent on the type of cardioplegia container. Supply to the patient takes place using the table cardioplegia route. The configuration of a cardioplegia set will be determined according to the requirements of the original package. A cardioplegia set can be packaged separately or prepared as an integral part of an instrument-complete set.

HLM instrument set

A HLM-instrument set will be used for extracorporeal circulation during cardiopulmonary bypass. The venous-arterial circulation of blood and penetration fluids, including additives and pharmaceuticals, takes place in this system. In most cases, HLM instrument sets are not standard sets, but are designed according to the specific space and operation requirements of the end-user.

HLM table sets

A table set is a part of the extracorporeal circulation that will be connected from the table to the instrument set. The table set dimensions set will be determined by the selected cannulas used and HLM position. Table set tubes are usually made of PVC or silicone. The package type will be determined as required by the user and as required by the technique used (e.g. lower or upper preliminary circulation technique) and the operator.

Hemofiltration sets

A hemofiltration set is used for removing unwanted volume components (penetration and rinsing solution), chemical products and metabolic products, including certain drugs, from the circulating blood. The components intended to be removed will be led by the filtration route into the waste bag. The choice of the switching point and filtration pressure will determine the design and assembly of the hemofiltration set.
